Looking for a dessert that’s creamy, tropical, and guaranteed to impress? Catch a Husband Cake is the dreamy Brazilian treat that blends the silky texture of flan with the comfort of cake. Made with rich coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, and topped with toasted coconut, it’s a perfect choice for quick breakfast ideas, easy dessert recipes, or even romantic dinner ideas. This easy recipe is naturally tropical, wonderfully moist, and totally irresistible—an ideal option when you need crowd-pleasing food ideas that don’t require a lot of fuss.
Ingredients
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk
1 cup whole milk
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup grated coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and generously grease and flour a bundt pan.
2. In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, whole milk, eggs, melted butter, flour, and baking powder. Blend until the mixture is smooth and silky.
3. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle the grated coconut evenly on top.
4. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until golden on top and a toothpick inserted comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
5. Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 minutes before turning it out onto a serving plate.
6. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours (or overnight).
7. Slice and serve cold for best texture. Optionally top with whipped cream, fruit, or a drizzle of condensed milk.
8. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
For best results, use full-fat coconut milk—light versions don’t provide the same creamy texture.
This cake must be chilled for a few hours after baking to achieve its perfect custard-like consistency.
Make sure your bundt pan is well-greased and floured; this cake is delicate and needs help releasing cleanly.
