Ingredients
2 cups white chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup crushed candy canes
1 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for dipping)
Optional: red food coloring
Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt 2 cups of white chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth.
2. Add peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix in crushed vanilla wafer cookies, softened butter, and half of the crushed candy canes.
3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30–45 minutes until firm enough to roll.
4. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to form 1-inch balls. Roll with your hands and place on a parchment-lined sheet.
5. Chill balls for another 15–20 minutes to help them set.
6. Melt the remaining 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips or candy coating. Dip each ball in the melted coating and let excess drip off.
7. Immediately sprinkle with the remaining crushed candy canes before the coating sets.
8. Let them rest until fully set, either at room temperature or chilled briefly. Serve or package for gifting.
Notes
Store snowballs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
To enhance appearance, drizzle with dark chocolate or swirl red food coloring into the coating.
Crush candy canes just before use to keep them dry and vibrant for garnish.
