1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Toothpicks for serving
Instructions
1. Slice kielbasa into 1/2-inch even rounds.
2. In a cold skillet or mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
3. Add kielbasa to the skillet and stir to coat all pieces in the sauce.
4. Place skillet over medium heat and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally.
5. Allow mixture to bubble and reduce, cooking for about 15–20 minutes until the glaze thickens and caramelizes.
6. Transfer to a platter, garnish with parsley, and insert toothpicks for serving. Serve hot or warm.
Notes
Stir frequently to avoid burning the sugar glaze.
Use uniform slices for even cooking and better presentation.
Add a splash of pineapple juice for a tangy flavor variation.
