Description

These buttery zesty crackers are an irresistible snack that takes buttery rounds and transforms them into crisp, flavor-packed bites with garlic, herbs, and a touch of spice. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or solo snacking, they’re so addictive that they disappear by the handful.


Ingredients

1 box (12–16 oz) buttery round crackers

0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

0.5 teaspoon onion powder

0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

0.5 teaspoon sea salt


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan.

3. Stir parsley flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper, black pepper, thyme, salt, and optional Parmesan into the melted butter.

4. Place crackers in a large mixing bowl. Gradually pour the seasoned butter over the crackers while gently folding with a spatula to coat evenly.

5. Spread the coated crackers on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Watch closely near the end to avoid overbaking.

7. Remove from oven and let cool completely to crisp up.

8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Let the crackers cool fully before storing to lock in that perfect crunch.

Use salted butter only if you reduce the added salt in the seasoning.

For extra crispiness, you can return soft crackers to a 300°F oven for 3–5 minutes.
