Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until onions are soft and fragrant.
  4. Add Liquids: Pour in the beef broth and milk. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Melt the Velveeta: Add the cubed Velveeta cheese, stirring constantly until fully melted and smooth. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
