Ingredients

1 fresh baguette

6 oz goat cheese

1 cup fresh blackberries

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

1 pinch sea salt

1 pinch cracked black pepper (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice baguette into ½-inch rounds.

2. Arrange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.

3. Toast in the oven for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.

4. Let goat cheese come to room temperature. Optionally, mix with honey or herbs for extra flavor.

5. Spread a layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice.

6. Top each crostini with 2–3 fresh blackberries, pressing gently into the cheese.

7. Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt.

8. Add cracked black pepper and fresh herbs for garnish if desired.

9. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

Let the goat cheese sit at room temperature for easier spreading and better flavor.

Don’t assemble the crostini too early — build them just before serving to prevent sogginess.

Pat the blackberries dry after washing to avoid excess moisture.
