Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (46 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian-style)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Optional:

  • Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or use a wire rack.
  2. In a bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon zest (if using).
  3. Pat tilapia fillets dry. Brush with olive oil or mustard.
  4. Coat fillets in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
  5. Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet or rack.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until fish is opaque and flakes easily.
  7. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
