Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets (4–6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian-style)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving
Optional:
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or use a wire rack.
- In a bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon zest (if using).
- Pat tilapia fillets dry. Brush with olive oil or mustard.
- Coat fillets in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
- Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet or rack.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until fish is opaque and flakes easily.
- Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
