Ingredients

12 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef

24 oz marinara sauce

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tsp Italian seasoning

0.5 tsp garlic powder

1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook 1–2 minutes less than package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.

3. Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5–7 minutes.

4. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm spaghetti with softened cream cheese until evenly coated.

5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

6. Layer half of the cream cheese spaghetti in the dish, then top with half of the meat sauce. Repeat layers.

7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.

8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

9. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Always soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid clumps and get a smooth texture.

Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and flavor.

Undercook the pasta slightly so it stays firm after baking.
